Turkey keen to develop Iran cooperation

TEHRAN

Turkey is keen to expand scientific cooperation with Iran, said deputy minister of science, research and technology after his meetings with Turkish officials.
Talking to IRNA in Ankara, Mahmoud Mollabashi added that Turkish officials declared their readiness to develop academic ties with Iran and regretted the delay in achieving this.
He noted that he exchanged views with the head of Turkish Higher Education Organization on the potentials of the two countries.
The Turkish official also called for undertaking joint research projects in new disciplines such as nanotechnology with Iranian academicians, he noted.
Mollabashi further said that the visit was the first by an Iranian delegation from Science, Research and Technology Ministry in the past 30 years, which is important in its own type.
