US has greatest share in earth pollution

TEHRAN - Vice-President and head of Department of Environment Fatemeh Vaez Javadi said on Monday that the US enjoys the greatest share in degradation of environment.
Addressing staff of her department in the southeastern provincial capital city of Kerman, she stressed that the US is the first producer of greenhouse gases in the world. Therefore, it plays a major role in warming the planet and the climate change, she added, IRNA reported.
During the meeting, which was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, she said that developments in different areas of industry, petrochemical, and mines are among the achievements of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Praising Iran\'s space technology achievements, she said that the launching of several satellites by the Islamic Republic of Iran including the Omid data-processing national satellite proved that the Western embargoes against Iran have all failed.
